So Friday for lunch I went to get my haircut, as it was three weeks since my last one. As most of you know, I’ve tried growing my hair out, but I always end up not liking it in the end, so I always go back to my short look. I’m not sure what you call it, maybe a crew cut? Anyways, on other hair news, I’m trying to grow a beard again… I’ve also tried this before, only to give up after 4 or 5 days, but this time it’s almost been a week, and I’m not planning on shaving until Sunday at the earliest. One thing about trying to grow out a beard, it sure it itchy… do women get itchy too when they don’t shave their legs? Ugly thought there…
Friday night, hit the gym and then proceeded to go to Antigua and met up with Bob and Jud (American friends that live in Antigua) and some other friends. There was this one guy who was 20 something, but I swear he looked like he was 17 at the most…. I didn’t believe he was over 18, I even asked for his ID to verify his age. We did some bar hopping, and then went to an after party (outdoors), where it got nippy really fast. We stayed there till 3 AM, and then called it a night…er, morning. Anyways, I guess from being outside with a cool breeze the entire night affected me a bit, since I had a fever / cold the rest of the weekend… which means I stayed home and vegged out. Luckily, the Premiership was on and the NFL started on Sunday, so I had plenty to keep me entertained.
We have off this Friday, since it’s Independence day on the 15 here in Guatemala (actually, all over Central America). No big plans, but I’m sure we’ll try and go out Thursday through Saturday… tonight, meeting up with friends at TRE FRATELLI (Italian restaurant). While on that subject, we don’t have as much variety of restaurants like DC has, it’s amazing how many good restaurants you can find there, from all over the place. I bet you go to a different restaurant every single weekend from a year, and you wouldn’t try them all out. Unlike in Guatemala, where people seem to rotate from the same 10 good places to eat all time. I miss really good Asian food: Vietnamese, Thai, Indian… when place I do not miss is Bistro Francais, some of my DC friends loved going there, but I wasn’t the biggest fan. I really miss going to Heritage India, Café Asia, Busara, Pizzeria Paradiso, Ceiba, Mr. Smith’s (more for the ambiance than for the food), Neyla, Chopsticks, Zed’s, Melting Pot, Kramer’s Books, PF Changs… seriously, you guys have it so good!!! Alright, my mouth is watering now…
Take care peeps,

Mr K! How nice of you to drop by... I'm hoping to make it up there in late October... if I don't make it then, next spring for sure. How are things with you? Are you working? Going to school?
