GMU WINS and Wedding Pics...

GMU OVER UCONN!!! George Mason is a Giant Killer!!! First, Michigan State, then North Carolina, Wichita State was next, and now Connecticut! Indianapolis here we come... In toppling Connecticut, the team most college basketball analysts predicted would win it all, George Mason became only the second team with a double-digit seed to advance to the Final Four, following Louisiana State, also an 11th seed, in 1986. I'm out of words... I've been dancing since yesterday!!! GO PATRIOTS!!!

  • Heck yes GMU over UConn! I don't know if you saw the game, but it was a nail-biter down to the last second in overtime. Holy CRAP! But the end result is that they made it and now it's Final Four time! WHOO-HOO!

    So this makes - what - the 100th wedding you've attended thus far? Did you catch the garter? (or do you even do that in Guatemalan weddings?) If so, you know what THAT means...

    Final Four Baby! Do you have a FF t-shirt? I'm sure you've been wearing a lot of green and gold lately.

    The hats are given out at certian weddings... they make for funny props (along with necklaces and balloons).

    Yes, many weddings... but I always avoid the garter... not sure why!?!

  • I do not have an FF t-shirt just yet. If you go to Washington Post.com, there is a photo showing a line going outside the GMU bookstore for people wanting to buy the FF shirts! They are hard to find right now. But I swear I will be wearing one by game time Sat. Tell me if I'm crazy - I started looking at airfare to Indianapolis AND will see if I can get my hands on alumni tickets to the game (they go on sale tomorrow). Am I nuts??

  • I always check out the Wash Post and I did see the picture. It would be so sweet if you somehow managed to land tix to the game... hopefully airfare is not that expensive! And yes, you've always been NUTS!

  • I hate the name... can't believe MLS bought into it. Hope Ruiz has a good season, not so sure about your boy Freddy, I think he needs a fresh start somewhere else.
